• Endeavour to maintain and develop the ethos of the school.
• Assist the Subject teacher to ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet Makini standards.
• Prepare the learners’ work and materials beforehand as required by the Subject teacher.
• Assist in overseeing students in non-classroom/outdoor activities like lunch, recess, games etc.
• To ensure that the Classroom is tidy at all times.
• Assist with the bathroom breaks for the learners.
• Carry out supervisory duties as required like taking learners to the bus in the afternoon and receiving them in the morning.
• Be present for and assist with School expeditions.
• Assist the Subject Teacher to ensure prompt and regular attendance of students and report any absence to the Principal and/or the Class Teacher timeously.
• Taking over teaching duties as when required by the Deputy Principal.
• Always promote professionalism by keeping time, keeping to a dress code suited for the work environment and delivering excellent performance.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the Principal, Deputy Principal or member of the School management team.
• Preparation of learners’ books and materials and any other class duties as directed by the Class teacher and Principal.
• Achieve and maintain hygiene standards as required by the Class teacher.
• Cordial relationship with all stakeholders.
